Application areas

Butyl rubber sealant is used to seal exterior surfaces, seams and joints of engineering structures of residential, public and industrial buildings and facilities. It comes in white and gray colors. This product is for professional use.

Description of material

The sealant is a homogeneous visco-elastic moving mass based on butyl rubber containing fillers, target additives and organic solvent. After hardening TECHNONICOL butyl rubber sealant #45 is transformed into an elastic, water-air-tight mass that has high resistance to atmospheric influences (solar radiation, ozone, temperature extremes).

Method of application

Before applying TECHNONICOL butyl rubber sealant #45 it is necessary to make sure that it is carefully mixed. Apply to the prepared surface using a trowel at an ambient temperature between -20°C to +40°C. When applying at subzero temperatures the sealant should be kept at room temperature for at least a day before application. The sealant surface coverage depends on a type of performed work.

Storage

Store in a heated, dry place protected against sunlight at a temperature of between +5°C and +30°C. Guaranteed storage period—12 months.
