Water Repellent Coatings

The external facades of buildings are cladded with various materials like stones, wire cut bricks, tiles, porous stones, etc. Such cladded materials are susceptible to various environmental attacks and frequently spoil the aesthetics of the building. Such facades require a protective coating, which should also retain the original appearance of the claddings.

Level one technology and innovative protective coatings provide long-lasting solutions.

Anti-Carbonation Coatings

Large infrastructure projects like bridges, cooling towers, windmills, flyovers, and metro rails are susceptible to carbon and chloride attacks due to urbanization and environmental pollution. To protect these large infrastructure projects and enhance their durability, anti-carbonation and chloride ion penetration resistant coatings are required.

Level one range of high performance coatings protect and enhance the durability of these structures.

Chemical, UV & Heat Resistant Coatings

Industrial structures face many challenges such as acid alkali attacks, exposure to high temperatures like in metallurgical and steel industries, freezing temperatures in cold storages, etc., To protect such exposure conditions and to keep them performing for their designed lifespan, Level one wide range of protective coatings are the preferred choice.

Cathodic Protection Case Study – Padma Bangladesh

Corrosion is usually defined as the deterioration of a metal or its properties caused by a reaction with its environment. Most metals occur naturally in the form of oxides and are usually chemically stable. When exposed to oxygen and other oxidizing agents, the refined metal will try to revert to its natural oxide state. In the case of iron, the oxides will be in the form of ferrous or ferric oxide, commonly known as rust.

Protective Coatings Importence for bangladesh

Protective coatings are a simple way to reduce corrosion, by limiting the exposure of the metal to a corrosive environment.

Paint is a very common protective coating, but tar, pitch, bitumen and plastics are also used.

An important consideration for protective coatings is to ensure the coating is well adhered to the metal, and that it remains intact or is regularly repaired/recoated.

A further form of protective coating is to plate a coat of another metal onto the surface of the metal you wish to protect. One type of this coating is known as galvanising, where zinc is plated onto iron or steel. In the case of galvanising, the zinc acts as an anode and corrodes preferentially to the iron or steel.
